Taming the Law’s Coercion: A Book Review
Evan Bernick, assistant director of the Center for Judicial Engagement at the Institute for Justice, recently published a review of Dr. Tara Smith’s new book, Judicial Review in an Objective Legal System. The review, which is positive, acts as a high level summary of the book’s contents. It also highlights Dr. Smith’s motivation for writing the book, some of her criticisms of the popular theories of judicial review, and her recommendations for implementing an objective process of review in the current American legal context.
