Tara Smith Interviewed on Judicial Review and Objectivity in Legal Systems

Dr. Tara Smith, professor of philosophy at the University of Texas at Austin, was interviewed on Free Thoughts, a Cato Institute podcast, and discussed the importance of objectivity in legal systems.  As we stated in a previous blog post, Dr. Smith recently published the book Judicial Review in an Objective Legal System, which was the focus of the interview.

The interview, which can be found here, covers topics ranging from the nature of objectivity to the value of discretion among different government actors in a legal system.  On the same day that the interview was conducted, Dr. Smith also participated in a scholars’ lunch at the Cato Institute, during which she discussed the book with members of the institute.
