Student YouTube Channel Interviews Elan Journo

Elan Journo, the Ayn Rand Institute’s director of Policy Research and foreign policy expert, recently gave a wide-ranging video interview to the student-run YouTube channel Objectivist Discussions. Journo discussed his book, Failing to Confront Islamic Totalitarianism: From George W. Bush to Barack Obama and Beyond, the incident at UCLA that led to the book being temporarily banned as “inflammatory,” and a variety of issues raised in the book.

“During our conversation we went into excellent detail on some pressing concerns many people have about the war on terror, including who we are truly at war with and whether America is at fault in any way,” said student host Tyler Ashby (pictured above). “I think what anyone can take away from our interview was Elan Journo’s clarity on key questions regarding Islamism, how we can fight it, and what our future may hold.”
