Read Now: “How U.S. Attorneys General Are Like Chinese Censors”
Today, July 1, The Federalist published an op-ed by Steve Simpson, in which he argues that the investigations of ExxonMobil for allegedly committing “fraud” in connection with the global warming debate is nothing but an outrageous attempt to censor those who happen to disagree with the government:
As the climate change investigations of ExxonMobil show, many state attorneys general and other officials in the U.S. don’t respect freedom of speech any more than the Chinese government. The tactics they are using bear a striking resemblance to China’s efforts to censor speech.
