On October 10, How Will You Celebrate the Publication of Atlas Shrugged?

October 10 is the 60th anniversary of the publication of Ayn Rand’s magnum opus, Atlas Shrugged. To commemorate this event, we’re inviting admirers of Atlas Shrugged from around the world to participate in an online celebration of the novel’s publication. Please share your admiration and enthusiasm for Atlas Shrugged in a visual or audiovisual way and post it online, starting October 10, using hashtag #atlasshrugged60.

We’ve also created an anniversary-specific profile photo overlay for Facebook. It is available for download on October 9 so be sure to check the Atlas Shrugged Facebook page to access it.

We encourage you to get creative! Design an infographic, a poster, or other work of visual art. Record a personal statement or reading from the novel. Perhaps even stand before a historic site, where the ideas of Atlas Shrugged have some relevance, and capture yourself holding the book or reading from it.

In Atlas Shrugged, the character John Galt addresses the world in his climactic speech, using the medium of radio. Today, we ask you to demonstrate your admiration for the book online and celebrate the “role of the mind in man’s existence” along with other enthusiastic minds throughout the world.

October 10 is the date to start posting!
