IRVINE, Calif., Aug. 31, 2016—The Ayn Rand Institute, the leading center for the advancement of Objectivism, today announced the restructuring of its executive leadership. In response to the growth of ARI and the Objectivist movement, the Institute’s Board of Directors is expanding its leadership team by creating two new positions—a CEO responsible for the day-to-day operating aspects of the Institute, and an executive chairman responsible for advocating Objectivism on a global scale. The Board of Directors has appointed current executive director Yaron Brook as executive chairman of ARI’s Board of Directors. Brook will act as interim CEO until the CEO position is filled. In the new executive chairman position, Brook will lead the Board, manage the strategic direction of the Institute and continue to build ARI’s presence as its chief spokesman.

The process to identify a permanent CEO will be led by a special committee of the Board, which will consider both internal and external candidates. For details of the job description, go to ARI’s website.

ARI’s Board chair, Arline Mann, said: “The Ayn Rand Institute continues to actively expand its programs and the audience to which those programs are geared. I proposed this expansion of our leadership so I could spend more time on intellectual work and on promoting Ayn Rand’s ideas around the world. At the same time, ARI benefits from adding a CEO who can be fully focused on leading ARI’s many programs.”

As executive chairman, Brook will remain actively involved in directing the long-term future of the Institute, including growing his radio show, The Yaron Brook Show; benefactor-level fundraising; writing and promoting books and articles; and strategic planning.
