Audra Hilse is the Archivist of the Ayn Rand Archives at ARI; she has been team lead for the Archives Department since October 2024.

Miss Hilse specializes in archives, digital preservation, and overall management of Ayn Rand’s physical and documentary legacy. In partnership with colleagues and volunteers, Miss Hilse has helped produce three online exhibits (Letters of Ayn Rand, Blueprints for The Fountainhead, and Ayn Rand: In Film and On Stage) and three physical exhibits (Ayn Rand Goes to Washington, 80 Years of The Fountainhead, and Ayn Rand: In Film and On Stage) for the Ayn Rand Archives. She has written articles for Ayn Rand Today and New Ideal, and has been a speaker at OCON.

Miss Hilse holds a BA in History from Lawrence University, Appleton, WI, and an MLIS from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. She holds a Digital Archives Specialist certificate from the Society of American Archivists and is a graduate of the Objectivist Academic Center. Prior to joining ARI, she worked at corporate archives and county historical societies.
